For the most part, going out your bedroom window is the quickest way to escape if the fire prevents you from going out into the main hallway or living room area.
Put together a location where most of your valuables are so you can rescue them in a hurry if time permits. However, you should never risk your life to save valuables if it means a risk of getting hurt. While it may be impractical to keep all your valuable items in a bag, you may be able to keep your most valuable things in a small safe that you can pick up and take out the window in a hurry.
Then decide where you all should meet outside the home so everyone in the family can be accounted for.
